About Dr. Kevin Gee

Dr. Kevin Gee, a proud native of Houston, has built a distinguished career in optometry and beyond. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1998, he graduated with his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2002. During his studies, Dr. Gee showcased his leadership as an officer of the Student Texas Optometric Association and was recognized with induction into the prestigious Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society.

About Us

Following graduation, Dr. Gee served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Texas A&M College of Medicine and Senior Staff Physician at Scott & White Memorial Hospital. He specialized in treating patients with complex conditions, including diabetes, cancer, and autoimmune diseases, while mentoring medical students and ophthalmology residents. His dedication to the field earned him inclusion in the Guide to America’s Top Optometrists in 2004.

Returning to Houston in 2004, Dr. Gee transitioned to private practice while expanding his expertise in refractive surgery and cataract care. A committed educator, he continues to mentor students as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry. His contributions to optometry have been recognized nationally, including accolades such as Young Optometrist of the Year and his distinction as a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Gee is a sought-after speaker, delivering lectures across the nation on topics like ocular emergencies, diabetic eye care, and advancements in dry eye treatment. He has also authored influential articles and served as a contributing columnist for industry-leading publications.

A passionate community advocate, Dr. Gee actively supports local schools, mentoring students and sponsoring events across Houston. In his free time, he enjoys playing the saxophone, collecting unique writing instruments and eyewear, and cheering on the Houston Astros and University of Houston athletics.
